Will interest rates continue to stay at record lows?

Will interest rates continue to stay at record lows? How long do you think the interest rates will stay low, which allow for easier, cheaper lending? These rates are artificially at all time lows due to several factors including action by the Federal Reserve. This is great for lenders and borrowers, but how long do you think this will last?

The Federal Reserve wants to keep interest rates artificially low until the housing sector sees a clear recovery. How long will that take? Who knows, it could be years. Some analysts think it could take as long as 8 years! I'd like to think the housing market would recover by then though.

It's ultimately up to the Fed. They have the last say in this. But along with being great for buying a house it is hurting bond yields for those that are trying to retire. Who knows how long these low rates will last..

I hope low rates lasts forever. hehe:)

I don't think so interest rates will remain the same. It changes according to the current situation.
